How to Write a Book Review:

Writing a book review is easy when you know how. To make it simple, I have written an easy to follow plan that will help you write a professional review on a book of your choice. Just follow it step by step.

1. List the following details: Title, Author, Date of Publication, Genre, Publisher, ISBN.

2. Explain how easy it was to get stuck into this book. Was it gripping? Was it worth reading on if you couldn't get stuck into it at first?

3. Who is it about?

4. Where and when does it happen?

5. What's the storyline? Give the background of the story and any problems facing the characters, but don't give away the outcome.

6. How is the book written? What kind of language is used? Who might enjoy it? Describe any special features such as a diary style, jokes or flashbacks.

7. Provide an overall veredict, ie. marks out of five, and add a final comment.

If you follow this format, you will end up with an interesting and informative review that will draw people's attention to the book you are discussing. Remember, do not make your review too long. Make it short and snappy, and straight to the point.

Now you have a go! Good luck!
